Prayer

The one concern of the devil is to keep Christians from praying. He fears nothing from prayerless studies, prayerless work and prayerless religion. He laughs at our toil, mocks at our wisdom, but he trembles when we pray.

As well as encouraging personal prayer, Hillside fosters many opportunities for corporate prayer. In particular, we encourage all small groups, whatever their other functions, to be engaged in prevailing prayer.

The heart of our church is the Sunday prayer meeting, to which all Hillsiders are encouraged to come at least once each month. Then we spend time in intercession for our community, country, world and church.

Prayer meetings are held at the church each Sunday Morning at 9:30 a.m.  (Suspended during the Covid-19 crisis - we encourage all to continue to devote yourselves to prayer and we will continue to provide guidance and suggest focused corporate (though distant) prayer times.)
